Stephen L. Keleti, III

On November 9, 2021, Stephen L. Keleti, III of New Carrollton, Maryland passed away while surrounded by his loving family.  In addition to his parents, Jean A. and Stephen L. Keleti, Jr., he is preceded in death by his late wife Grace, daughter Kathie Keleti Smith, son Charles Keleti and son-in-law Frank Vitale.  Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all. 

Stephen attended Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1962, which includes serving in the Naval Reserves.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Ellen and his daughters Sally Jean Vitale and Penny LaCarrubba (Steve) and his son James Keleti along with three step-children Frank Morgan, Terry Sturgess and Debbie Sasko. In addition, his five grandchildren Jennifer, Nick, Julie, Michael and Adelina, along with three great-grandchildren Braelyn, Camdyn and Colty-Lou.   

Viewing will be held at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway, Bowie, MD 20715, on Thursday, November 18^th from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at Saint Matthias Catholic Church, 9475 Annapolis Road, Lanham, MD 20706 on Friday, November 19^th at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735.  Reception to follow at Saint Matthias Church for friends and relatives.
