Devoted "Grandpa" to Andrea and Dylan Dorezas whom he adored and would do anything for them (and they knew it too).

He was always watching out for his family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He looked forward to time spent with his family and cherished those moments.
Steve was a longtime member of Steamfitters Local 602 of Washington, DC, until his retirement 4 years ago.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made to the following link: http://www.giving.medstarhealth.org/gifford. The donations will benefit Dr. Chia (Steve's doctor/surgeon who enabled him to live after his diagnosis) and the Department of Otolaryngology (ENT) at Washington Hospital Center in his name to save others.
Steve, you are in our hearts forever, now in God's hands in peace. We love you.
