Sylvia Crabbs Jones, age 85 of Mitchellville, Maryland, formerly of Bowie, Maryland, passed away on September 28, 2018. She was born February 14, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sylvia was a devoted wife to her husband Russell Thomas Jones, and mother of daughter, Michelle Jones of Bowie, and son Mark Jones (Lori) of Annapolis. Sylvia was a longtime resident of Bowie since leaving her childhood home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She loved to be with her family, play the slots, travel, and play bridge with her friends. She enjoyed various crafts, such as knitting, crocheting, sewing, and painting. She also had a love of Walt Disney World and everything Disney.
A private memorial service will be held at the Christian Community Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her over the past year. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to support the Acute Care for the Elderly Unit at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Your gift may be made payable to AAMC Foundation, and note on the memo line of the check "In memory of Sylvia Crabbs Jones."
