Tamara Nicole Washington

Tamara “Tammy” Washington died unexpectedly at home on June 19, 2023, in Temple Hills, MD at the age of 38.

Tamara was born on April 10^th, 1985, in Washington, DC to Tracy Washington and Eric Porter. She graduated from Crossland High School in 2003. She married Gregory Johnson, her teenage sweetheart in 2004. Tamara worked various jobs where she developed administrative skills. The couple welcomed 3 children and at this time Tamara dedicated herself to raising her children. Her children remember her as a loving, playful and nurturing mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Tamara was hilarious and liked a good laugh. She loved going out and having fun with friends and family. Her family remembers her as the life of the party, and it was always a good time when she was around.

Tamara is survived by her father, Eric Porter; husband, Greg Johnson; children, Ahmad Johnson, Zaniya Johnson and Jayda Tyler; siblings, Carlos Washington. She is preceded in death by her mother, Tracy Washington.

Tamara will truly be missed. She was a bright light in all of our lives.
