Teresa J. Neubelt

April 5, 1951 — June 27, 2021

Teresa J. Neubelt AKA Paraskeve Stoubis daughter of Constantine and Helen, 70, of Trikala, Greece, passed away on June 27, 2021.

Paraskeve met Airman 1st Class, United States Air Force, John W. Neubelt, who was stationed in Larissa Greece in 1968. John was looking for a beautiful woman to date (actually any) and Paraskeve was looking to get out of her small town. They were married the following year 1969 in Trikala Greece and Teresa J. Neubelt was born. It was a match made in spousal visa heaven.

Teresa always kept her Greek roots and would always let you know when the rest of the world was scrounging to eat berries, Greeks already had cholesterol problems. For those that do not understand, the Greeks were already so advanced that they were eating so much meat, they had cholesterol problems while the rest of the world… never mind.

Teresa loved people and was probably the most extraverted person you would have had the pleasure of meeting. Whether you wanted a warm greeting, it did not matter, you always got a hug, a kiss and a smile. Whether you were hungry, she would offer you food that could feed an army. You could never leave her home without at least 2 plates of food. She was very much a Type A personality and she would give your own opinion (get it) on various issues. She would even redecorate your house when you were in Greece (yes she did that to me, Mom I told you I hate curtains!).

Teresa never believed in less is more and was just the opposite, more is always better. Bargain shopping was not a hobby but a sport. This is evident with all the stuff she left behind to her family. Of which, they have no clue what to do with. Anyone in the market for rooster statues? Fifty bucks and it is all yours (at least 20 of them), we will pay you!

Teresa is survived by her husband John, who no longer has someone to tell him how to put one foot in front of the other. A daughter Helen whom now has to attempt to tell her Dad how to put one front in front of the other. Her favorite person in the world, her son, Paul (the author of this obituary) who was lucky enough to marry a Teresa clone whom can show him how to put one foot in front of the other.  And 2 adorable grandkids, Morgan who carries her assertiveness (AKA stubbornness) and Amelia who loves to shop.

Mom we love you more than words can capture, we will miss your sweet voice, the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen as you cooked and baked, your love for family and friends but most importantly we will miss YOU!

The family has entrusted Beall Funeral Home with the arrangements. A viewing is scheduled for July 2nd at 10:30 and the viewing is at 11. The location of the viewing and service is at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church at 2747 Riva Rd, Annapolis, MD. Father Kosmas Karavellas will officiate the ceremony.

For those who cannot make it (especially Greek family members) below is the link for the funeral which will go "live" at 10:45 am on Friday morning:
