Thelma Irene Marshall

  Thelma I. Marshall, 104 , passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 21st, 2022 . Thelma was born on December 6th, 1917 in Washington D.C. to William and Belle Cator. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Chapman Price Marshall, her sisters Essie Young, Peggy Wyvill, Ann Purdy, and her brothers Bill and Bob Cator.

   Thelma is survived by her son Alan Price Marshall, her daughter Linda Ann Marshall-Bell, her sister Marie Kiley, and her many nieces and nephews.

   Thelma graduated from Upper Marlboro High School in 1936, and attended Strayer College in Washington D.C. She retired as a secretary  from the C & P Telephone Company where she worked for 40 years. She loved to travel, crochet, paint, cook, bake, and make dolls.

   Thelma was a member of Epiphany Episcopal Church in Forestville Maryland for 64 years, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Alter Guild. She had a beaming smile and personality, and always thought of others before herself.
