Theodore Erskine Tuck Jr (Ted) (80) of Bowie, MD, son of Theodore E. Tuck Sr. and Harriet F. Tuck and beloved husband to Mija P. Tuck, passed away November 6, 2019.
Ted was born on August 16, 1939, in New Rochelle, NY. He grew up in Larchmont, NY. Ted attended and was a graduate of Brown University. The greater part of his career was spent in the military and later as a civilian in the United States Air Force as an Office of Special Investigations Agent.
Most importantly, Ted was a Family Man. Ted is known for his intelligence, wit and a great sense of humor. He is also known for his very generous and giving spirit. He loved to read and was always in a book about either history, a novel or a user manual. He was a craftsman and loved to build things out of wood and metal. Ted loved the arts and was a Bass in a Barbershop chorus, 'The Bowie Knights of Harmony' for over 35 years. In later years, Ted enjoyed taking part in theater and choral productions in the Bowie area. Ted was also a Model Railroader and you could often find him working on his garden railroad or making a Christmas display in the Bowie Senior Center.
Ted is survived by sons Ted and Eric Tuck, Brothers Henry, John, and Alan. Brigid Tuck, wife of Eric, and grandchildren Logan, Rylee, Caroline, Harriet, and Henry. Ted is also survived by his partner Lynn Baldwin.
