Theresa Brittingham

With deepest sadness we announce the passing of our loving Mother and Grandmother Theresa Agnes Brittingham (Lynch), 91 years of age.  She passed on August 17, 2020 as a resident of Brightview Riverwalk Crofton, Maryland where she enjoyed her last days with the amazing caretakers there, as well as Hospice of the Chesapeake staff.  Her previous residences include Bowie, Maryland; Lewes, Delaware; New Brunswick, New Jersey and Staten Island, New York.

Preceded in death by her devoted husband John Robert Brittingham II, mother to Eileen Stephenson, Son in Law, Wally Stephenson of Bethany Beach Delaware and Clearwater Florida, Son, John Brittingham III, Daughter in Law, Mickey Brittingham of Sacramento California.  Grandmother to Kelly Stephenson of Annapolis and Sean Stephenson of Piney Orchard, Maryland.

Born, November 11, 1928 in New York where her parents Timothy and Bridget Lynch emigrated from County Cork, Ireland in the 1920’s.  Sister to Michael Lynch, Margaret Martin, Elizabeth Cole and Joan Tegtmeyer.  She attended Saint Christopher’s’ school and Saint John’s Villa Academy in Staten Island, New  York in 1947.

She had a “wicked” sense of humor and Love of life.  She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
