On Monday, May 17, 2021, Theresa “Terry Farr passed away peacefully.

Terry was born November 15, 1933 in Weirton, West Virginia, the daughter of Dan and Mary Schiappa.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Thomas) Donahue of Mechanicsville, MD, son Richard “Rick” Farr of Ocean Pines, MD, her sister Danya Schiappa of Simpsonville, SC, her grandchildren Daniel (Tiara) Farr, Katelyn Farr, Marisa Donahue, and Zachary Donahue, and great grand-children Evelyn and Cayden Farr.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Richard “Dick” Farr,

Terry attended Grier High School in Tyrone, PA and graduated in 1951.  She then attended Ohio State University and graduated with a B.S. in Medical Technology in 1956.  She was employed by OSU Hospital, Weirton General Hospital, St. Johns Hospital in Steubenville, Ohio, and Group Health Associates in Washington, D.C.  She also was a substitute teacher for 16 years in Prince Georges County Public Schools.

Terry was active in the Sodality of Sacred Heart Parish, the Millersville 55+ Group, PG Community College Senior Fit group, BBT Tennis group, and the Bowie Women’s Club.

Terry enjoyed her book club, cooking, and traveling, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
