Teri, age 95, died peacefully with her daughter Jeanne by her side soothed by the song Ave Maria on Sunday August 27, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband Sebastian Mignosa. Together they raised 3 devoted daughters, Rena, Jeanne and Mary Ann.
Teri was born in Mt. Carmel, PA and moved to Shelton, CT after her high school graduation. There she met and married Seb and with his job opportunities, they made their homes together in CT, PA, NJ and MD.
Teri was lovingly devoted to her family and to God. She was a creative woman, sewing beautiful hand stitched quilts and many dresses for her daughters, including wedding dresses. Teri loved words and enjoyed working her crossword
puzzles. She imparted a love of learning and education. She volunteered at her local library and quietly helped others by cooking for those in need. She mastered Seb’s Italian favorites like meatballs, spaghetti sauce and lasagna. Her love of her family’s pierogies will continue to be a favorite.
Teri and Seb were dedicated members of the Sacred Heart Parish while they lived in Bowie for 50 years
Teri leaves behind her 3 daughters, sons in law, and her 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
