Timothy John Austin

Timothy John Austin, 61, of Bowie, Maryland passed away on June 26, 2020 doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle. Born in Maryland in 1959 to Doris and Whitey Austin, Tim graduated from Northwestern Highschool and earned his technical degree from Lincoln Tech. He married Christine in 1999, where they shared over 20 beautiful years together.
 
Tim was committed to his career at the World Bank where he served as the Chief Engineer for over 26 years. He was always a man on the move, with project after project, seeking to make his surroundings better for others. He was an avid member of the American Legion and DAV, enjoying the company of anyone and everyone around him. His presence was warming and he made friends wherever he went. Tim was a man of God, Country, and selfless service. His absence is felt by many, but his memories are everlasting.
 
He is survived by his mother, Doris, his wife, Christine, older brothers Dennis and Steve, his daughters, Kimberly and Michelle, and his grandson, Benjamin.
 
The viewing will be at Beall’s Funeral Home located at 6512 Crain Highway, Bowie, MD Tuesday July 7 from 2-4pm. The funeral home only allows 25 guest at a time, but please be patient and wait outside and we will ensure guests are able to pay their respects accordingly. Face masks are required to enter the building. There will be hand sanitizer available.
 
If you are unable to attend or want to pay your respects virtually due to COVID, there will be a link available Tuesday to view services.
 
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Legion or Omaha Beach No 7 Disabled Veterans Association (DAV).
