Todd A. Sheets

Todd Anthony Sheets, 61 of Bowie, MD, passed away on July 26, 2024. He was born on August 8, 1962 to Vernon James and Nina Jane (Weaver) Sheets. 

He leaves behind his life partner, Patricia Driver; Sister Tracy (Vint) Bonner and his nephews: Christopher, Travis, Tyler and Devin. 

His son Patrick Sheets, daughter Patricia Sheets; with grandchildren; Brogan Feck, Emalyn Feck, and Marley Calhoun. 

As well as many beloved family and friends that have become family. Especially Phillip (Cheryl) Morris, David (Glenda) Scroggs, and Chris (Sara) Voss. 

He began his career enlisting as an aircraft mechanic in the Navy at the age of 17. Alongside his lifelong friend David Scroggs, the two shipped off to boot camp directly following an AC/DC concert in the summer of 1980. 

Todd later became a dedicated metal fabricator with the Sheet Metal Workers Local 100. He worked with passion, and meticulous attention to detail. He was always eager to teach a new tradesman the craft. He retired in 2023. 

Outside of work, Todd radiated most as he took pride in talking about his children and sharing photos of his grandchildren. He enjoyed social events and could make any stranger feel like a lifelong friend.

He explored many passions through his life. Some include NASCAR, downhill skiing, horseshoes, archery, live music, the latest movie or video game, home brewing, camping on the Cheat River in Hannahsville, WV. He especially looked forward to the opening day of the Maryland Renaissance Festival, which he faithfully attended for 40+ years. 

His legacy lives on in the memories of those who know him, leaving an indelible mark of joy and love. Todd will be deeply missed. Kindness, laughter, and humility define Todd and his journey on earth. His family hopes that his ability to live in the moment will impress on generations to come. 

Per Todd’s request for cremation will be conducted by Beall Funeral Home in Bowie, MD and a celebration of life will later be announced.
