Mr. Tyrone Connie was born on June 4, 1971 in Flint Michigan to Ms. Bernestine Connie and Mr. George Roger White who both preceded him in death. The Lord called Tyrone into eternal rest peacefully on September 26, 2020 at his home in the company of his loving family.

Tyrone was educated in Flint Michigan Public schools, graduating from Northwestern High School He attended Mott College in Flint MI. Tyrone had a special love for his birth home of Flint MI and returned often to share time with family and friends. Devoted to his family he loved  and supported his family however was needed, he was our rock. Tyrone was  fun loving and a little mischievous who loved to spread joy and laughter. He was very witty, a huge prankster and loved sending memes to everybody, he also loved to photobomb pictures, and frequently snapped candid pictures when no one was looking. Tyrone was a phenomenal artist, a gift he inherited from his talented father. He developed an excellent work ethic from his parents working various summer jobs as a teen, tutoring at summer programs, serving as a cook at local restaurants and  working with his father’s family asphalt company. 

He then joined the U.S. Army in 1993 and successfully completed the U. S. Army Quartermaster school serving his first tour of duty at Ft Stewart Ga. where he met his wife Charmaine of 25 years, together they were raising two beautiful children. Asia and Caleb. They spent 7 years in the Army serving a tour in the Middle East, and a tour in Idar Oberstein, Germany  After his military service Tyrone began working at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and subsequently the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers where he worked until his passing. Tyrone worked concurrently as a Special Police for LDC Security. Tyrone was held in high esteem by his co-workers and other employees throughout the organizations. He attended the University of Maryland Global Campus pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and was on track to graduate in 2021.

Tyrone was baptized at the church of his youth, Mt Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Flint MI. and sang in the Youth Choir. After relocating to Maryland, Tyrone, along with his young family, joined Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington DC. He loved good gospel music, especially Mahalia Jackson and he especially loved listening to the Blues. 

Tyrone leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Charmaine, two adoring children, Asia and Caleb, precious sisters,Tina [Courtney and Kayla] Connie ( Flint, MI), Janice Connie (Cincinnati, OH), Chandra Ingersoll (Swartz Creek, MI), Angerlia Jones (Memphis TN), brothers, Ernest Markham (Gulfport MS) and Kenneth McGowan (Lafayette LA), stepfather, James D. Smith (Flint MI), lifelong friend, Raymond Young (Flint MI) uncles Isom A Nadir and Lee White (Flint, MI), Elvert Connie (Tuscumbia, AL), and Thomas Garth Jr. (Clarksville,TN) aunts Dorothy Jones (Tillatoba MS), Ella P. Faulk (Tuscumbia, AL) and Juanita Armstrong (Talladega, AL) a host of other relatives and friends.

Tyrone was preceded in death by brother DeRon Pointer and sister Adrena Townsend.

Although you are gone from this earth you are forever in our hearts.
