Ursula Flanagan Dunn

Ursula Flanagan Dunn formerly of Dennis, Massachusetts passed away on April 29, 2019.  Beloved daughter of the late Patrick Flanagan and Delia (McGuire) Flanagan of Ballinasloe, Ireland. Loving sister of Eamon Flanagan of Dublin, Ireland, Lawrence Flanagan of Moate, Ireland, Eleanor (Flanagan) Keane of Perth, Australia and the late Ann (Flanagan) Bannerton of Ballinasloe and the late Agatha (Flanagan) Curley of Ballygar, Ireland.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Eileen (Dunn) Lillis, son-in-law Tom Lillis and granddaughter Caeleigh Lillis all of Bowie, Maryland, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends on both sides of the Atlantic. 

She was born in Ballinasloe and immigrated to New York City in 1956.  After marrying Charles J Dunn (deceased), she worked for Southern New England Telephone Company and lived in Pomfret, Connecticut. She moved to Dennis in 1982 where she ran her own business, Irish Items, for more than 20 years.  She was also active in the Dennis Chamber of Commerce and worked at the Cape Playhouse.  She moved to Mitchellville, Maryland in 2012 to be closer to her family. 

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 10:30am to 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchellville, MD where a mass will take place at 11am, a reception will follow immediately after the mass.  Burial will be at the family's convenience.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ursula's memory to the Seton Performing Arts Center, 5715 Emerson St, Bladensburg, MD 20710.
