Victoria Sulitka Ose, 90, of Bowie, MD passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at AAMC in Annapolis, MD.
Born in Avoca, PA, Victoria was the daughter of late Michael & Mary Sulitka and was a graduate of Avoca High School, Class of 1947 & awarded Salutatorian. She worked at a factory in Scranton and a waitress in Pittston, PA while attending high school.
She also earned a full scholarship to Misericordia Teachers College, PA but felt she had to go to work.
Victoria had worked the majority of her life , 50 years of government service for Veterans Administration, US Department of the Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and US Agency for International Development whose umbrella organization was the Department of State as Stenographer Secretary, Program Assistant, Office Manager and editor and retired in 2009.
Victoria was a loving and giving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up. She raised her family of five children in Bowie, MD and was a member of Sacred Heart Parish Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred T. Ose, Jr, who passed away in 2019.
Surviving are her five children, Alfred III, Michael, Jennifer, Timothy & Gregory and six grandchildren Jennifer, Allison, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Zachary & Joshua.
Also surviving is her sister, Mrs. Josephine Carpenter, Niagara Falls, NY and cousins, Mrs. Patricia Welch and husband Joe, Bowie, MD & Mrs. Marie Leonard, Baltimore, MD.; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to Dementia foundation and Alzheimer's Association.
