Virginia (Bertie) was born on June 13, 1935 in New Market, VA to Theodore and Selma Golladay and passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Leroy D. Anderson, mother of Cheryl (Sherry) Carpenter and Cindy Sutton.

She is also survived by five grandchildren Stephanie Moxey (Clint), James Sutton Jr, Dina Sutton, Anthony (Tony) Carpenter, and Joseph (Joe) Carpenter and 2 great-grandchildren Lillian and Jacob Moxey. She was preceded in death by her sister Donna Rae Golladay and first husband Richard Fletcher.

Virginia loved all animals. She loved feeding and watching the neighborhood squirrels and birds and adored and spoiled her two parrots, Daisy Mae and Baby.  She was an avid supporter of Anne Arundel SPCA and the American Heart Association.
