Virginia Potasnik Backus

Born in Passaic, New Jersey on May 15th, 1919 and died on August 19, 2018 while living in Charles County, Maryland.

Virginia Potasnik was raised in Widen, West Virginia where she met and married Arnold Martin William Backus March 2, 1945.  They had one daughter, Dawne Carol.  In 1964 Virginia and Arnold moved to Washington, DC where Virginia worked for with the 3M Company retiring in 1981.  

Virginia loved her family, she loved to travel, and she loved to Polka.

She is predeceased by her husband, her brothers Joseph, Frank, Ted, and David Potasnik and her sister Jane Hemingway.

She is survived by her sisters, Wanda Hamrick and Fran Coluzzi, her daughter and son-in-law, Dawne and Michael Miller, her grandchildren, Monica, Angie, and John, her great grandchildren, Alexandra, Maxine, Rebecca, Nicolas, Phoebe, Aiden, and Sophie, and her many nieces and nephews.
