Willard L. Reid

Willard Lamont Reid was born on September 24, 1931 in Eureka, North Carolina (Wayne County) to Milton Curtis Reid and Nora Artis Reid. Willard, fondly known as “Will,” was the 7^th child. He was a long-time member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Washington, D.C. where his family was raised. 

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Curtis Reid and Nora Artis Reid; brothers, Hiawatha, Charney and Milton; sister, Giulia; and son-in-law, Domonic Newman. Left to cherish and honor his memory are his wife, Karyn Davis-Reid; daughters, Wanda Newman and Pamela Reid Williams (Michael); grandsons, Karl and Erik Newman; granddaughter, Kayla Williams; sister, Auldrey Hubbard; brother, Leon P. Reid (Clara); brother-in-law, Jeffrey Davis (Doris); sisters-in-law, Linda Howard (Brady) and Andrea Lott (Martin); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. 

Willard will be remembered for many things, but anyone who met him enjoyed his sense of humor and willingness to always lend a helping hand.
