William J. Kneval

William “Bill” Kneval died peacefully January 12, 2025 joining his beloved wife Marilyn in the kingdom of heaven. Bill was 87 years old and is survived by his brother, John Kneval, eight nieces and nephews and their families. 

 Bill graduated from Loyola College in 1959 with a BS in Physics. He worked for The Martin Company for five years before being recruited by the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) Goodard Flight Center in 1966. During his tenure at NASA Bill was intimately involved in the Apollo Space program and recognized for his numerous achievements and leadership in his field. Retiring in 1993, Bill and Marilyn shared their passion for traveling extensively throughout Europe for many, many years and always enjoyed being “hands-on” caring for their home and enormous vegetable garden.
