Princess Yetunde Adedamola Haastrup passed away unexpectedly on July 22, 2022. She was only 46 years old. The family is both devastated and shocked by her death. Princess Yetunde was born on April 13, 1976, in Washington DC to Prince Clement Adesuyi Haastrup and Princess Doris Abike Haastrup.

Yetunde graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in DC in May 1994. After completing high school, she worked in telecommunications for several years before working at ENL Consortium Ltd in Nigeria as the General Manager of Procurement.

She was a devout Christian whose lifestyle exemplified Christ in many ways. She was often described by many as kind, humble and compassionate. This is due to her selfless acts as she would go to any length to meet the needs of others, particularly widows and orphans. While she was in Nigeria, she was an active member of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), where she served as a member of the work force functioning in several capacities. She was a prayer warrior and an evangelist of hope and faith – even till her last day on earth she was still sharing the gospel.

In her spare time, Yetunde enjoyed watching movies, singing, decorating and exploring various recipes, including African and intercontinental dishes. Affectionately known as “Aunty Candy”, she often would thrill her guests, including children with different cuisines and candy treats from her kitchen. She treated everyone with respect and honor no matter their social status. She left an impact on everyone she encountered.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings- Adetokunbo, Taiwo, Mofetoluwa, Kehinde, Mofifoluwa, Adeola, and Clement Jnr. She also leaves behind her nephew and niece- Nathan and Hannah. There are bonus moms, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members that will miss her dearly.

Both Services are being held for Yetunde on Friday (Service of Songs) and Saturday (Funeral Service) at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Highway, Bowie MD 20715

Flowers and cards can be sent to the funeral home for Saturday funeral service.
