Yvette Marie Dionne

Yvette Marie Dionne, age 84, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2019 in Annapolis, Maryland. She was born in Beauceville, Canada on August 20, 1935 and was one of four siblings.

On July 23, 1955 she married the love of her life Gilbert Joseph Dionne who she shared an extraordinary, loving marriage of sixty four years with. Throughout their marriage they birthed five children, Pierre, Michael, Francine, Denis, and Simon.

Yvette was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cared fiercely for her family. She was the backbone of a large family who in times of happiness and times of sorrow was always there for them. Yvette was a strong, passionate, caring woman who naturally influenced those that followed her in a positive direction. She always had a big plate of food ready for anyone in her home and generally loved cooking. She also enjoyed anything crafty, and often did such things with her sister Céline. She loved shopping and going to the beach, a testament of her home in Ocean City, Maryland; a frequent destination for her many children and grandchildren.

Yvette passed away on what is regarded as The Feast of the Guardian Angels day in the Catholic religion, which seems so fitting because she loved angels. She often said her late sister Céline was her guardian angel that would come visit her and tease her. I’m sure she will do the same for her family now that she is in Heaven.

Yvette is survived by her husband Gilbert Dionne; daughter Francine Gaudreault (Andre), son Pierre Dionne (Sherry), son Michael Dionne (Amy), son Denis Dionne (Meg), son Simon Dionne (Cathy), as well as ten loving grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Family will receive friends on October 19, 2019 from 2pm to 3pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rt 3 South), Bowie, Maryland, followed by a funeral service at 3pm.
