Zachary James Lee Cassidy

Zachary James Lee Cassidy passed suddenly and unexpectedly the morning of Sunday, September 22, 2019.  Born Lee Hee Chul on Friday, June 3, 1988 in South Korea, Zach was adopted into the Cassidy family and arrived in Maryland in October of 1988.  Zach never failed to leave an impression on anyone and everyone who crossed his path.  His wit, humor, and caring heart were truly beyond compare.   

Zach loved a wild ride – dirt biking, mountain biking, off-roading, and snowboarding were a few of his favorite activities and he was always up for a new adventure off the beaten path.  Zach was always quick to help those around him, whether close family or a stranger in need.  He also loved animals and had special bonds with his dearly departed pit bull, Boomer, and his beloved Seven, who is left behind.

Zach also leaves behind his parents, Debbie Carta and Mike Cassidy; his sister, Jessica Cassidy; stepmother Betty Cassidy; stepbrothers Dan and Chris Alexander; grandparents Mike and Ellen Carta; is preceded in in death by his grandparents Lee and James Cassidy; aunts Michele Seddon, Mary Piccirilli, Terri Carta, Sheila White, Linda Ross, Christine Bredbenner, Kristin Cassidy, Debbie Cupp, Sue Cassidy, Colleen Cassidy, and Megan Drake; uncles Mike Carta, Matt Seddon, Mark Piccirilli, Gene White (deceased), Bob Ross, Greg Bredbenner (deceased), Terry Cassidy, Mike Cupp, Dan Cassidy, Rick Cassidy, and Mike Drake; cousins Matthew Seddon, Gabrielle Seddon, Christopher Piccirilli, Anna Piccirilli, Olivia Piccirilli, Shannon Carta, Mike Carta, Steve White, Brian White, Elizabeth Bedbenner, Greg Bredbenner, Jon Bredbenner, Kelly Cassidy, Luke Cassidy, Jennifer Cupp, Chelsea McCassie, Dan Cassidy, Sarah Cassidy, Rick Cassidy, Jesse Cassidy, Brian Curtis, Tyler Drake, Allison Drake, Max Drake, and Emily Drake; a large extended family, and many, many dear friends.

The family will hold a memorial service to remember and celebrate Zach’s life on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis, located at 333 Dubois Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.  The ceremony will begin at 1:30 and will be followed by refreshments.  Attendees should dress as they feel comfortable – casual dress, bright colors, or anything Zach would appreciate is welcome.  There will be opportunity for guests to briefly share stories, memories, etc.
