Roger L. Jacobs

October 19, 1936 — November 10, 2019

Roger Lewen Jacobs passed away on November 10, 2019 after battling Alzheimer’s for over 13 years. He loved life and never gave up fighting.

Roger was born October 19, 1936 in Kentucky but grew up in Peru where his parents, Ray and Alberta Jacobs served as missionaries.   Finished his schooling at the University of Maryland, he served in the US Army stationed in Germany.   Spent most of his adult life as an insurance adjuster and retired in 1996. He was bilingual, speaking, reading and writing Spanish as well as he did English. He spoke German and some French as well.

Roger is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy, two sons Raymond and Michael Jacobs, 5 grandchildren, Aubrey, Ryan, Adriel, Forest and Joshua.

Roger loved to read, loved anything that expanded his knowledge and his mind. Loved traveling or just staying home with his family and beloved pets (especially Rocky).
